Abstract

"Work has numerous effects, both positive and negative, on physical and psychological health, and its very organization can either improve or undermine it. For instance, having the means to deliver high-quality work is a key driver of psychological well-being. Similarly, the negative consequences of lifting heavy loads are mitigated if the organization allocates sufficient time to perform the correct movements, limits their repetition, and provides a supportive work collective to rely on.

Working conditions refer to the combination of all elements characterizing the environment in which individuals carry out their professional activity, encompassing everything that affects quality of life at work, well-being, and employee health. In short, it can be argued that everything contributing to the employees' work environment—whether material infrastructure or the individuals surrounding them in the workplace—forms an integral part of working conditions.

This research suggests avenues for improvement, such as implementing an occupational health plan, adapting motivation policies, strengthening social dialogue, and raising awareness among HR managers regarding the importance of staff well-being. Ultimately, ensuring the health and well-being of personnel serves as a powerful lever for productivity, retention, and the sustainable development of the public enterprise."
